What data we hold, why we hold it, and how you can have it removed.
Who we are
Precision Watch Parts operates this store. For any privacy question, contact help@precisionwatchparts.example.
What we collect
- Order data — name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number, collected when you check out.
- Cart data — the items you add are stored against a cart identifier held in your browser so your basket survives a page reload.
- Analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location and device type, collected in aggregate to understand how the store is used.
- Account data — email address and password hash, only if you create a staff account.
We do not see or store your full card number. Payment is taken on our commerce provider's secure checkout, and only they handle card details.
Why we process it
- To take payment, fulfil your order and handle returns (contract)
- To answer support enquiries (legitimate interests)
- To keep accounting records required by law (legal obligation)
- To measure and improve the store (legitimate interests / consent for analytics)
Who we share it with
Only the processors needed to run the shop: our commerce and payment platform, our delivery carriers, our email provider and our analytics provider. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically six years). Support emails are kept for two years. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary storage to keep your cart and session working, and analytics cookies to measure traffic. You can clear or block these in your browser; strictly necessary storage is required for checkout to function.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to our processing of it, or receive it in a portable format. Email us and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will post any material change to this policy on this page. Continued use of the store after a change means you accept the updated policy.
